Business Manager

Project Whitecard Inc., an innovative tech company with a rich 18-year history, is excited to announce an opening for the position of Business Manager. As a company dedicated to harnessing technology for good, we serve esteemed clients such as NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, and MPI. Moreover, we are the official VR provider for TELUS across Canada.
Based primarily at our office in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with opportunities to work in Vancouver, British Columbia, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our dynamic team of developers and business professionals. The primary role of the Business Manager will be to support business and communication efforts with our internal executive team, lead developers, and key clients and partners.
Moreover, the successful candidate will provide crucial support in completing deliverables for taxes, payroll, and bookkeeping processes, assisting in maintaining the financial health of the business and supporting the team. Even if you’re not a tax expert yet, we’re here to support your skills-enhancement. A robust knowledge and interest in technology, specifically in the Unity game engine and VR, are essential, as is proficiency in language skills.
Given our work’s entertainment-adjacent nature, familiarity with the Canada Media Fund and connections with local and national professionals in the industry would be advantageous.

Unity3D Developer
Position: Developer
Location: Project Whitecard Inc., 698 Corydon, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

We are dedicated to quality for our clients and users, and value compassion, culture, innovation and science. We’re looking for an outstanding Unity3D technologist to join our team and help deliver optimized and performant builds on platforms in VR, PC, and mobile.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop software using Unity3D
- Optimize and execute builds for all platforms (PC, mobile, web, VR)
- Participate in QA, providing feedback for improvement
- Working with the technical team to develop our video games
- Working directly with the project lead and occasionally the client
- Solving technical problems in creative ways to help innovate and build exciting new content
- You will interact with our talented team to examine and recommend qualitative changes to the trunk for each platform
Position Requirements
- Demonstrated experience producing builds out of Unity for multiple platforms, including VR
- Have a clear understanding of game and software development terminology and processes
- Demonstrated ability to creatively adapt to changing requirements and solve bugs
- Exceptional understanding of Unity3D and platform build requirements, both in performance and UI that includes differences in VR and non-VR
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work within a team and can function well independently
